
Stewart Whitney
Stewart Whitney is the president of Timberland, responsible for the oversight and strategic direction of the Timberland® brand worldwide, working in partnership with international leaders across both Europe and Asia.
Prior to being named president in October 2014, Whitney served as vice president and managing director for Timberland® and Napapijri® brands in the Asia Pacific region. Based in Hong Kong at the Asia Pacific headquarters, he managed the subsidiaries in China, Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia and Korea, and the distributor markets across Asia including Australia, New Zealand, India, Thailand and Indonesia. Whitney was responsible for leading business development and expansion across the region for both brands.
He joined Timberland Asia Pacific in 2008. During his tenure, Timberland’s Asia business has more than doubled.
Prior to managing Timberland’s growth in the Asia Pacific region, Whitney was vice president and general manager of the Timberland PRO business, which brings premium and durable boots to the professional tradesman. During his first eight years at Timberland, Stewart helped to elevate the Timberland PRO® brand to leadership status in the North American industrial and commercial markets.
Before joining Timberland, he was a part of The Lego Group in the United States, taking on various brand management, planning and sales positions from 1990 to 2000.
